An annual review of petroleum pricing is a key component in the regulation of petroleum prices in Tonga.

The Tongan Competent Authority (TCA) is responsible for setting the maximum prices that can be charged for petroleum products (including LPG) in Tonga. A pricing template is used to set prices monthly and is agreed with suppliers. Market factors are updated monthly and key operating data agreed annually. An annual review is carried out to ensure this data remains accurate.

Envisory has been appointed to conduct annual reviews alongside the Ministry and petroleum suppliers on several occasions. Our knowledge of appropriate benchmarks and market trends ensures that pricing templates accurately reflect the cost of supply.

Envisory Limited provides strategic advice and consultancy services to the energy sector in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands. Our expertise covers energy security, petroleum fuels procurement, and services to the energy sector with a focus on oil and gas.
